Students must hold an OFQUAL (or equivalent) Massage Level 3 qualification (minimum). This course is advised for Sports Level 4 and higher so if you do not have this qualification, please check with your insurance companies prior to booking this course.
This course has been specifically designed with the Massage Therapist in mind but is open all practising therapists including Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Sports Science practitioners (with massage training).

Spinal Articulation & Mobilisation is a practical course designed for massage and sports therapists who wish to develop safe, controlled and effective spinal mobilisation skills. The course introduces key principles of body palpation, surface anatomy, spinal assessment and hands-on mobilisation techniques, with a strong focus on clinical reasoning, client safety and professional scope of practice.
Students will learn how to assess spinal movement, understand joint mechanics and apply appropriate mobilisation techniques to the thoracic spine, ribs, lumbar spine and sacroiliac joint. The course also explains the importance of cautions, contraindications, consent and safe practice when working with spinal techniques.
Please note: Cervical spine articulation principles may be discussed, but cervical manipulation will NOT be taught on this course.
There are no formal exams for this course.
In-class assessment and instructor feedback - ongoing evaluation of practical skills with real-time feedback to support learning and development. A CPD Certificate will be issued if the instructor believes the required competencies have been met.

No. This is an advanced CPD course for qualified therapists. Students must hold a Level 3 RQF qualification in Massage, Sports Massage or higher, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Students must hold a minimum Ofqual Level 3 Massage qualification or equivalent. The course is especially suitable for therapists with Sports Massage Level 4 or higher. Students who are unsure should send their qualification details to London School of Massage before booking.
